About Us

Hello there! I’m Alaina, a proud dog mom of three amazing
pups—Aster, Lilly, and Doc—who inspire me daily. Our journey into creating
Kahu’s Holistic Treats started with love, a lot of trial and error, and the joy
of wanting to give my dogs the best treats possible.

Lilly, my Great Pyrenees, has had her share of dietary
challenges with chicken, duck, and turkey allergies. I know firsthand the
frustration of searching high and low for treats that wouldn’t upset her system
but would still bring her joy. That set me off on this adventure, digging deep
into canine nutrition and testing countless recipes until I found the right fit
for her. This dedication and care are what you can see in every bag of Kahu’s
Holistic Treats.

Our treats begin with natural, wholesome ingredients like
beef and salmon, including nutrient-rich organs that give dogs the extra boost they
need. Each treat we make is thoughtfully designed for various dog diets because
I believe every dog deserves a treat made just for them!

Lilly

Lilly, my sweet, big-hearted Great Pyrenees, is the soul of Kahu’s Holistic Treats. She’s not just my dog but my best friend and furry partner on this journey. Lilly has this massive, snowy white coat and an even bigger heart. She adores her siblings, Doc and Aster, and is always watching out for them (and me, too).

Most days, you’ll find Lilly outside, where she’s happiest, keeping a close watch over the yard. She takes her job seriously, especially when it comes to “warning” any birds that fly too close. But winter—that’s when she truly lights up. Nothing makes her happier than bounding around in the snow, her favorite time of year.

Lilly’s protective spirit and her boundless love inspire every treat I make. She’s taught me what it means to care for family, and I hope that shines through in every bag of treats we share with you.

Doc

Doc, my lovable Newfoundland, is the big-hearted, sensitive soul of Kahu’s Holistic Treats. His warm, gentle nature brings a special kind of love and kindness to our little team. He brings so much joy and laughter into my life and to the lives of anyone he meets. He’s got that goofy charm that shows in his silly expressions and constant, happy tail wags.

But Doc’s true gift is his endless capacity for love. He’s a snuggle buddy, always there for a cuddle when you need it most, making everything slightly better with his calm, comforting presence. He’s my gentle giant, and I’m so lucky to have him by my side.

Aster

Aster, my wise little Aussie/Heeler mix, may be the smallest in our Kahu’s Wellness Treats family, but she’s got the most significant spirit and endless wisdom. As the oldest of the crew, she leads the way with a perfect mix of intelligence, strength, and a genuine love for adventure. There’s something about Aster’s quiet confidence—she’s like a steady anchor for Lilly, Doc, and me, always there with her calm presence.

Despite being smaller than her siblings, Aster is tough as nails and resilient. She’s happiest when exploring, whether it’s a mountain trail or just soaking up the beauty around her. Aster’s adventurous spirit inspires us to live with curiosity and courage daily.
